Day 1 – Iguassu Falls

Arrival in Iguassu and transfer to Belmond Hotel das Cataratas. Accommodation at Deluxe room with falls view. Your guide will walk you to the Brazilian falls, located right in front of the hotel. Rest of the day and evening at leisure. We suggest you have dinner at one of the hotel’s restaurants. In full moon nights, the hotel offers an optional walking tour in the evening to witness the lunar rainbow.

Day 2 – Iguassu Falls

After breakfast, cross the border to visit the Argentinian side of the falls for another perspective. You will start at the upper circuit and stop to admire the picture-perfect spots. Continue to reach the balcony over the incredible Garganta del Diablo (Devil´s Throat], one of the highlights of your tour, with waters falling down from 240 feet high. You can choose to take a panoramic helicopter flight over the falls, only available from the Argentine side (around 10 minutes). Not included in the package.

Return to hotel and evening at leisure. [B]

Day 3 – Iguassu Falls, Rio de Janeiro

Depart your hotel early in the morning for a special experience at the Birds Park before it opens. The park was created to protect and preserve the animals.  it is home to more than 900 birds of 150 different species, and animals from around the world, including butterflies, marmosets, alligators, pythons and hummingbirds. Your special backstage experience includes access to restricted areas, as well as the privilege of being in direct contact with some of the birds, with the opportunity of feeding the toucans and flamingoes, among others. Return to hotel for check out and departure to the airport to board your flight to Rio de Janeiro. Arrival in Rio and transfer from the airport to hotel Belmond Copacabana Palace. Accommodation at Deluxe room (ocean view). In the evening, car & guide at disposal to drive you to a restaurant of your choice [B]

Day 4 – Rio de Janeiro

After breakfast, departure to downtown Rio. Enjoy panoramic views of the Sambodrome and the traditional Cinelândia square surrounded by 4 historical buildings: The Municipal Theater, the National Library, the National Museum of Fine Arts, and the City’s Council House. Visit the Bank of Brazil Cultural Center, the Casa França-Brasil - the later was the former custom's house repurposed as a modern art exhibition space. Continue to the Santa Teresa, a charming and bucolic area of Rio. Time for lunch at your restaurant of choice [not included). The final stop will be at the famous Sugar Loaf mountain. Board your cable car for a fast ride to the Urca Hill. Located at 680 feet above the sea level, it provides astonishing views of the Guanabara Bay and its islands, a second cable car will go up to the top of the Sugar Loaf, which provides splendid views of the city beneath. Return to hotel and evening at leisure. [B]

Day 5 – Rio de Janeiro

After breakfast, the day will start with a visit to the modern “Tomorrow Museum”, in the new port area. Nearby, it is possible to admire the graffiti made by Kobra, the biggest in the world made by one single artist. Continue to the Samba City, the place where the famed Rio Carnival parade is created. Here you will learn firsthand about the history of Carnival and visit the backstage of the parade, with the chance to see the real floats. At the end, get dressed in costumes to feel the Carnival vibe and take pictures. Your day ends at the most beautiful postcard of Rio de Janeiro: Christ the Redeemer statue atop of the Corcovado mountain where an extraordinary view of the city and bay will unfold before your eyes. Return to hotel and leisure time to rest. [B]

Day 6 – Rio de Janeiro, Salvador

After breakfast, transfer to the airport to board a flight to Salvador. Arrival and transfer from the airport to hotel Fasano Salvador. Accommodation at Deluxe room (ocean view). Leisure time to rest. In the evening your guide will take you for a short panoramic tour of the city's hot spots and introduce you to the best restaurants of Salvador (dinner not included). [B]

Day 7 – Salvador

After breakfast, your tour starts in the modern suburb of Barra at the mouth of the Bay with its famous lighthouse. Then, continue to the old historical section of town, the Pelourinho area with the largest and best-preserved complex of colonial architecture in the Americas. We stroll through the narrow, bustling streets lined with buildings in pastel shades of an age gone by, soaking in the sights and sounds of this vibrant city. We’ll visit one of Brazil's most stunning churches, São Francisco Church and Convent, a baroque style church depicting scenes from the life of St Francis of Assisi, the Casa de Jorge Amado, dedicated to one of the most important Brazilian authors, and the Afro Museum. After lunch (not included] we continue to the lower city. At the peaceful Itapagipe Peninsula a stop to seep the panoramic views. Next, we head the famous Senhor do Bonfim church, Salvador’s most visited landmark as it is one of the greatest symbols of the local religious syncretism. Known by the Catholics’ faith as the city’s patron saint, the Church also represents elements of Candomblé, where the Saint is associated to Oxalá, the father of all Orixás. Our last stop is at Mercado Modelo, the largest craft center of Bahia.

Return to hotel and leisure time to rest. Return to the hotel, your evening is at leisure [B]

Day 8 – Salvador

After breakfast, transfer to the airport to board your flight to your next destination. [B]
