Day 1: Lima
Arrival, reception by our collaborators and transfer to the hotel. Kit documentation, detailed explanation of the program and assistance with luggage and registration at the hotel. In the afternoon, visit of the city to appreciate their most imposing architectural, like the Plaza Mayor or Pizarro checkerboard samples, where we will see the Palacio de Gobierno, the Cabildo, the Cathedral and Archbishop's Palace. We will continue visiting the convent of Santo Domingo, jewel of 16th century architecture. Way to the modern area of the city, will cross the exclusive district of San Isidro, new financial heart of the city, to appreciate the Huaca Huallamarca. Finally, we will conclude our circuit in Miraflores, where we will visit the Parque del Amor, excellent point to enjoy a splendid view of the Pacific Ocean. Drop off in Larcomar or at the hotel. Overnight in Lima.
Day 2: Lima, Cusco
At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport to board your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, reception by our representatives and transfer to hotel. Rest of the morning to rest and acclimatize. In the afternoon, visit the city of Cusco, declared World Heritage Site by Unesco and place of a particular essence. The tour begins in the temple of Koricancha, an ancient Inca palace and main center of worship of the god Sol, where after the Dominican order built a church that lies prized so far. Then he will tour the Plaza de Armas, where the Cathedral and the beautiful church of the Jesuits, among other colonial buildings are located. Continue the journey to the colonial church of San Cristobal to enjoy a spectacular view of the city, then continue to the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Inca construction that stands out for its huge walls of hewn stone, located in a strategic position on a hill, with a broad view of the city of Cuzco. Later you will visit important archaeological sites Puca Pucara and Qenko. [B]
Day 3: Cusco, Chinchero, Ollantaytambo, Sacred Valley
Visit Chinchero, a small picturesque Andean village. Enter the home of a textile artisan, where you will see some of his original work and learn about their techniques, as well as their creative process. Then visit its significant Inca ruins dating from the end of the 15th Century, as well as a beautiful traditional church. Afterwards, on the road to Ollantaytambo, you will stop at the Racchi viewpoint, for one of the best views of the Sacred Valley. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Then head to Ollantaytambo, one of the most representative complexes of the Inca Empire and site of one of the Spanish Conquistadors' rare strategic defeats. Famous for its terraced fields, Ollantaytambo was a very effective fortress and also a religious center. Finally, you will stop at the village of Ollantaytambo, known as "the only living Inca town". It is the best surviving example of Inca urban planning, with stone-paved streets that have been inhabited since the 12th Century. Overnight in Valle Sagrado. [B/L]
Day 4: Machu Picchu
You will visit one of the most important energy centers in the world: Machu Picchu. The excursion is done by train and during the tour we will have an amazing view of the landscape of the Sacred Valley of Urubamba. Upon arrival to Aguas Calientes, our staff will assist you to board the bus that will take you to the Citadel. It will be an unforgettable experience, where a professional guide will transmit us the history surrounding this mysterious and charming place. After the guided tour, you will enjoy free time to explore the area on your own, relax or meditate. When appropriate, descent to the town of Aguas Calientes. Included buffet-style lunch. Overnight in Aguas Calientes. [B/L]
Day 5: Machu Picchu, Cusco
Morning at leisure. Optionally is can, make a second visit to Machu Picchu and take advantage to more remote places such as the "Intipunku" or "Door of the Sun" the more adventurous may enjoy a motorcycle promotion to the "Huayna Picchu" or "Young mountain" to visit the Temple of the Moon and have a view of the Citadel of photography. It will address the train back to Cusco. Upon arrival, our partners will expect it at the station, from where we'll move to your hotel. Overnight in Cusco. [B]
Day 6: Cusco, Andahuaylillas, Raqchi, La Raya, Puno
We will go to the station to start our trip by special bus to Puno, this way you can enjoy the wonderful landscapes of the Valley South of Cusco. We will visit the village of Andahuaylillas, where we will enter a beautiful church from the 17TH century, which boasts an impressive organ decorated with angels and cherubs. We will continue with a visit to the ruins of Raqchi, known as the Temple of Wiracocha Dios. Lunch on route. We will make a stop at "La Raya" natural boundary between Cusco and Puno, where we will have excellent photographic views. Arrival to Puno is in the afternoon, then transfer to hotel. Overnight in Puno. [B/L]
Day 7: Titicaca Lake, Floating Islands of Uros and Taquile
In the morning, we will make a full day excursion on Lake Titicaca and as a first point, we will visit the floating islands of the Uros, also called "The village of the Lake," these islands are built with layers of totora and serve as homes and centers of Commerce for the natives of the same name that are mobilized in rafts built by hand. We will continue our journey to the island of Taquile, where community welcomes kindly the tourists, keeping alive their traditions, customs and colorful clothing in the ancient style. The Islanders are artisans and reflected in each work surprising techniques developed over centuries by their ancestors. Lunch included. Overnight in Puno. [B/L]
Day 8: Isla del Sol
Early morning transfer by road to the sanctuary of Copacabana to address the catamaran to the island of the Sun Cruise cradle of the Inca Empire. On this legendary island you visit the garden, stairs and the source of the Inca, subsequently the itinerary includes a visit to the Inti Wata Cultural complex, the main tourist attraction private Bolivia, it includes the underground Museum of the Ekako, the centers of traditional medicine and construction of totora rafts, the Pachamama agricultural Inca, a handicraft Center, the Intica refuge and terraces the largest variety of Andean camelids located at mirador "Manco coat". Visit the Inti Wata complex also includes the possibility of sailing aboard an immense raft of reeds typical and a panoramic visit to the Inca Palace of Pilkokaina. Subsequently the catamaran is addressed again to return to Copacabana, from where returned to Puno by bus. Overnight in Puno. [B/L]
Day 9: Puno, Lima, USA
At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport to board your international flight. [B]
