Day 1: Curitiba

Upon arrival in Curitiba, your English-speaking guide will meet and accompany you to your hotel. Check–in and depart for your half day panoramic tour including the Botanical Garden, and the main sites in the city center: See the Oscar Niemeyer’s Museum, the João Paulo II woodlands, the Wire Opera House, and the Tanguá Park. With about 111. Acres, the park houses a 180ft waterfall and a lovely French style garden. Back to the hotel, your evening is at leisure

Curitiba is one of the Brazilian cities that has truly entered the 21st century as a national and international reference in terms of urban planning and quality of life, according to research sponsored by the United Nations. Having its culture heavily influenced by Italian, German, Polish and Ukrainian immigrants, the capital of the State of Paraná is home to a number of performance venues, including the Wire Opera House, a structure of tubular steel with a transparent roof, and the huge Teatro Guaíra, with diverse programs. Curitiba is recognized as the most livable Brazilian city. Parks and green areas are highlights in the city. Long before it became fashionable, the council promoted green policies which makes its residents proud of keeping approximately 51 square meters of green area per inhabitant, three times more than the recommendation of the United Nations. In addition, the modern architecture mixes with these natural nooks, giving a unique touch to the landscape of the city. Lately Curitiba became reference for the production of excellent craft beer.

Day 2: Curitiba

Morning at leisure and in the early afternoon, departure for a beer experience tour. Curitiba is reference for craft beer production in Brazil! Dozens of different producers and hundreds of different labels have been collecting medals around the world! The first stop will be at Bastards, the irreverent craft brewer produces 10,570 gallons per month and has more than 30 different labels, of own brand and others. The beer master will explain how they produce beer here and you will try one directly from the tank. Maniacs will be the next stop: a micro craft brewer with a nice bar. The local production is of 2,640 to 3,170 gallons per month. Learn how craft beer is produced here and taste one of them. Following head to ’We are Bastards Pub”, that is located in an enchanting ancient house. The attraction here are the 32 different beer taps. The specialists will help you choose one (or more)! The place is very charming and there is live music in the main room. Return to hotel and evening at leisure.  [B/S]

Day 3: Curitiba (Morretes)

Depart early in the morning for a full day tour to Morretes & Antonina. Located Only 44 miles away from Curitiba, on the edge of the Cubatão river, at the foot of the lush Serra do Mar, Morretes is a charming town, with a lot of history and  a well-preserved nature. Your day starts with a comfortable train ride, crossing the largest preserved area of the Atlantic Forest. Admire bridges, tunnels, peaks and mountains that will surround you throughout the way. The guide will explain the history and curiosities of the railway, which was, at the time it was built, a major engineering challenge. Upon arrival, explore Morretes, a captivating colonial town with its charming squares, colorful houses, churches, and craft shops selling many items of basketwork. Next, head to Antonina, famous for its historical architecture, with very old houses, monuments and churches. A typical lunch is included: the famous “barreado”, a juicy meat stew that is served with cassava flour, rice and bananas. At the day’s end we go back to Curitiba by Estrada da Graciosa or by highway. (B/L]

Day 4: Curitiba, São Paulo

After breakfast, transfer to the airport to take the flight to Sao Paulo. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Balance of the day at leisure. [B]

Sao Paulo is huge! There are 12 million people living in the largest city of the Americas. Sao Paulo gathers more than 100 museums, 120 theaters, around 300 cinemas, besides having several parks and green areas. It’s the Latin American capital of conventions and events, which has a super structure in the Anhembi Convention Center. Sampa, an affectionate nickname given to the city, is delightful, and is famous for offering one of the best nightlives around the planet. Known as the Latin American capital of good restaurants, it has high standard international restaurants with fine regional dishes signed by renowned Brazilian chefs. It is considered as well the Brazilian pizza capital, featuring more than six thousand pizza places around the city. Going to the Ibirapuera Park is a pleasant activity. Besides areas for exercises, bike paths and playgrounds, it features museums, auditoriums and a planetarium, always busy with an intense cultural program.

Day 5: São Paulo

After breakfast, full day tour of Sao Paulo’s main sites. The tour begins at the Ibirapuera Park, one the biggest green areas of the city, it is considered the green lung of Sao Paulo. Among other attractions, the park is home to the Contemporary Art Museum. A stroll through the park will take you to "Monumento às Bandeiras" and the Obelisk. The tour follows to the chic streets of the Jardins neighborhood, reaching the famous Avenida Paulista, the financial heart of the city. Throughout the journey you'll see historic buildings such as the Copan and Italia edifices. A walk along the Anhangabaú valley, portraits the Municipal Theater, the City Hall, the Pátio do Colégio, the Saint Benedict Monastery, and the gorgeous Catholic Cathedral. We’ll stop at the Municipal Market, a huge fruit and vegetable market, where we’ll savor a typical sandwich made with Brazilian cold cuts, or the famous pastel (a fried pastry from this area). Then we'll go up to one of São Paulo's highest viewing points, the Banespa Tower to admire the city from above. The last part of the tour is dedicated to exploring Liberdade (the Asian quarter), and the Luz Railroad Station, where the Pinacoteca Museum, the Holly Art Museum are located. Back to the hotel, your evening is at leisure. [B/S]

Day 6: São Paulo

After breakfast, departure to Embu das Artes. Known as the "City of Arts", the village dates back to 1555. located 20 miles from Sao Paulo, this small town with less than 300000 inhabitants breathes culture thus the nickname “Embu of Arts. Embu, for many decades, has been attracting great artists since the time of the Brazilian modernist movement. Anita Mafatti, Oswald de Andrade and Tarsila do Amaral were some examples.  Nowadays, it is known nationally and internationally as an art’s center for its concentration of painters, sculptors and craftsmen that in the weekends exhibit their work in one of the 38 galleries, antique shops or in the famous Embu das Artes’ street fair which also offers a rich food court and a space for exhibition of ornamental plants and flowers. In addition, the city also broadcasts all kinds of performances: such as dance, theater, music and poetry, performed in various public spaces. When walking between the snaky alleys of colonial architecture, you will be exposed to an open-air museum. Furthermore, you will taste delicious local sweets and pastries. Return to hotel and evening at leisure. [B/S]
