Day 1 – Fri: Tel Aviv

After arrival at Ben Gurion airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Tel Aviv. Overnight in Tel Aviv


Day 2 - Sat:  Tel Aviv

Free day at leisure in Tel Aviv. Overnight in Tel Aviv. [B]


Day 3 – Sun: Tel Aviv, Caesarea, Haifa, Acre, Rosh Hanikra, Galilee

Drive north to Caesarea, once the Roman capital of the region. See the excavations of the Crusaders' city, the aqueduct and the amphitheater, which has been restored as a concert venue. Proceed to Haifa to visit the Clandestine Immigration and Naval museum (" Af al Pi Chen") and hear the story of the illegal immigrants coming to Israel at the time of the British Mandate. Drive to Acre, the Old City recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site; walk through the old port and local market. Continue to Rosh Hanikra; descend by cable car into the underwater grottoes and admire the spectacular natural formations. Overnight at a Kibbutz guesthouse. [B/D]


Day 4 – Mon: Galilee (Jeep tour to Safed, Golan Heights, Tel-Hai)

Drive to Safed, one of the four holy cities in Israel and the center of the Kabbala movement; visit the Caro and Ari synagogues; stroll through the narrow alleyways and visit the picturesque Artist Quarter. Next, enjoy a Jeep tour at the foots of the Golan. Continue to the Golan Heights stop at Gadot overlook, the memorial for the fallen of the Golan located over former Syrian bunkers; and view the monument built in honor of the Alexandroni Brigade. Proceed for a magnificent observation point over the city of Quneitra and the Syrian territory. Drive to Tel Hai; see the Roaring Lion Monument and learn about the heroic battle of Joseph Trumpeldor and his comrades in 1920. Meet with a Kibbutz member and learn about their unique lifestyle. Overnight at a Kibbutz guesthouse. [B/D]


Day 5 – Tue: Galilee, Jerusalem (Tiberias, Beit Shean, Gan Hashlosha, Mt. Scopus)

Drive to Tiberias to visit Rambam’s grave; proceed to Beit Shean, also called "Scythopolis", the biggest archeological park in Israel with beautiful excavations from Roman and Byzantine periods. Stop at Beit Alpha to see the beautiful mosaic floor of a synagogue from the Byzantine period. Onto Gan Hashlosha, (Sachne) where you will have an opportunity to enjoy in the water springs located at the foot of the Gilboa mountain, the famous mountain on which King Saul was killed in the battle against the philistines. Continue via the Jordan valley to Jerusalem. Stop at Mount Scopus for a blessing as you enter the city. Overnight in Jerusalem. [B]


Day 6 – Wed: Jerusalem (Kotel tunnels, Sephardic synagogues, Davidson Center, Tower of David)

Start with a visit of the tomb of King David on Mt. Zion.  Walk along the Cardo, the ancient Roman road; Visit the four Sephardic synagogues restored after 1967 war in the Jewish quarter. Tour the Western Wall Tunnels; Visit the Davidson center and walk through the Roman Cardo, to the local Arab bazaar. Walk through Jaffa gate to David’s Tower museum and see the ancient remains of the city beginning with the first Temple period. Overnight in Jerusalem [B]


Day 7 – Thu: Jerusalem (Yad Vashem, Mt. Herzl, Ammunition Hill, Israel Museum)

Enjoy seeing the Bar Mitzvah ceremonies at the Western Wall. Drive through Mea Shearim, one of the oldest Jewish neighborhoods in Jerusalem, and learn about the unique lifestyle of the ultra-orthodox communities. Proceed to Mount Herzl, the military cemetery, and Yad Vashem, Israel’s official memorial to the Holocaust. Visit Ammunition Hill, a former Jordanian army stronghold, conquered by the Israeli army in the six-day war, and later converted into a national memorial site and museum. Drive by the Knesset, Israel’s parliament, and see the Menorah with the biblical emblems. Next, visit Israel Museum, the Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea scrolls are housed, and the Holyland model, a miniature replica of Jerusalem as it was during the Second Temple period. Overnight in Jerusalem. [B]

* Optional: Celebrate the Bar/Bat-Mitzvah ceremonies at the Kotel.

For families who wish to celebrate a Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony at the Wall, this will be a perfect opportunity. While the rest of the group will tour Mea Shearim, arrangements will be made at the Wall with a Rabbi. At the end of the service, rejoin your tour group at the entrance of the Israel Museum. For this special option, see below.


Day 8 – Fri: Jerusalem (Qumran, Masada, Dead Sea)

Drive through the Judean desert to the Dead Sea. Stop at Qumran, the site where the Dead Sea scrolls were found. Continue to Masada, ascend by cable car and tour the ancient fortress; visit the remains of the walls, palaces, synagogue, the bathhouses etc.  Descend by cable car, next stop for lunch and spa facilities at one of the leading hotels in the area. Return to Jerusalem.  Overnight in Jerusalem. [B]


Day 9 – Sat: Jerusalem

The day is at leisure. Overnight in Jerusalem. [B]


Day 10 – Sun: Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, USA

Transfer from your hotel to Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport to board your flight back home. [B]

We will be happy to book a Rabbi** to celebrate your child’s Bar/Bat Mitzvah. Rabbi’s Services include: 

·  Correspondence with family by the Rabbi

·  Meeting with the Rabbi in Jerusalem, prior to the ceremony

·  Officiating at service

·  Use of prayer pamphlets and Rabbi’s personal Torah scroll

·  Rabbi’s transportation

·  Bar/Bat Mitzvah certificate from the Ministry of Tourism

·  Reform and Conservative ceremonies will be officiated at the Southern Wall area

·  Please note passengers will require to take a taxi to ceremony and also to rejoin the tour after the ceremony or we can book car service instead
