Day 1: Paris

After arrival at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport you’ll be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. The rest the day is free. Overnight in Paris.

Day 2: Paris

Full day city tour devoted to the discovery of Paris’ monumental masterpieces and religious highlights - visit the impressive Notre-Dame Cathedral, then to the Chapel of Miraculous Medal to attend to mass. Continue along the Seine embankments to reach Quartier Latin for lunch at typical Café-Restaurant. After lunch enjoy a panoramic tour of the city to see the Arc de Triomphe, Royal Palace, Tuileries, Opera House and Grand Bouleverads. End at Montmartre for a visit to the Sacré-Coeur Basilica and a 360-degree view over the city on sunset. Return to your hotel for overnight. [B/L]

Day 3: Paris, Lisieux, Mont Saint Michel

Leave Paris on the way to Lisieux the pilgrimage center devoted to Sainte-Therese who received an early call of the church. Attend mass in the crypt of basilica and visit the Carmelite Chapel with local guide. Continue to Mt. Saint Michel and visit the medieval monastery built on top of the mound, known as the “Jewel of the Occident”. Dinner at St. Michel and overnight in the area. [B/D]

Day 4: Mont Saint Michel, Saint Malo, Bordeaux

Short stop and panoramic tour of Saint Malo – the city of pirates and corsairs - before a long day drive to reach Bordeaux for dinner and overnight. [B/D]

Day 5: Bordeaux

This morning you will be able to discover the magnificent facade of the quays and the famous Place de la Bourse which is the most photographed Bordeaux monument. Head to the Parliament Square which once housed the Royal Market! It's time to visit the majestic Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux, also known as Opéra located on Place de la Comédie. A must see is the market of Great Men located in the center of the district and discover its magnificent glass roof. After a lunch break, we’ll continue to Saint-André cathedral, located at Place Pey Berland and getting there via Vital Charles Street. Feel free to enter the cathedral to discover the beauty of the nave and sculptures. Free time at St. Catherine Street, a mile-long shopping paradise. You’ll picked-up later for dinner at one of the excellent local restaurants. After dinner return to the hotel for overnight. [B/D]

Day 6: Bordeaux, Lourdes

After breakfast, drive to Lourdes where we arrive in time for a panoramic tour of the sanctuary complex before lunch. In afternoon visit the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Inaugurated in 1871. Built in the Gothic style this basilica is remarkable for its stained-glass windows that tell the story of Mary. Go down to the Crypt and, then, walk to the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary in Romano-Byzantine style and a symbol of ecumenism. Inscribed around a Greek cross, its 15 chapels glorify the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary in painted mosaic. Follows the Basilica of Saint Pius X Consecrated on March 25, 1958, built for the centenary of the apparitions and can accommodate 25,000 people. You’re welcome to participate in the Eucharistic procession that happens every day at 5:00 pm from April to October. Walk to the Massabielle Grotto of Apparitions of the Virgin Mary to Bernadette Soubirons , the water spring. You may want to walk the outdoor Stations of the Cross before attending mass. The rest of the day is free for private devotion. Overnight in Lourdes. [B]

Day 7: Lourdes, Le Puy-en-Velay

Leave Lourdes for a long drive through one of the prettiest regions of France to reach Le Puy-en-Velay – the medieval town located on the Way of St. James. Free time before dinner and overnight at the hotel. [B/D]

Day 8: Le Puy-en-Velay, Lyon

This morning we visit the Romanesque cathedral Notre Dame du Puy, a UNESCO World heritage site, that sits high in the city of Puy-en-Velay in which you have to climb several flights of stairs to the steep slope to access it. At the foot of the rock Corneille we find the imposing statue of the Virgin dominating the surroundings even higher. High place of passage during the pilgrimage of Saint James of Compostela, this cathedral built from the thirteenth century, in several campaigns, is simply beautiful and original thanks to the various influences detectable in its architecture. In the afternoon continue to Lyon. Tonight, enjoy dinner at a “Bouchon” (typical Lyon restaurant). Overnight at the hotel. [B/D]

Day 9: Lyon (Ars, La Salette)

Panoramic tour of Lyon including the Cathedral and the hill of Fourviere before driving to Ars – another pilgrimage site – to visit the basilica where the body of St Jean-Marie Vianney rest, the Maison du Saint Curé (House of the Illustrious), the chapel of the heart containing the relic of the heart of the Saint Curé of Ars. Continue to the second most important pilgrimage destination in France, the site of Notre-Dame-de-la-Salette, on September 19, 1846, when the Virgin is said to have appeared in tears before two children of local shepherds and talked to them for a good while. Return to Lyon for dinner and overnight. [B/D]

Day 10: Lyon, Parey le Monial, Nevers

Leave Lyon on the way to Parey le Monial. Stop in this beautiful Burgundian town and visit the 11th century basilica where the heart of Jesus appeared in the 17th century. Continue to Nevers – the city of Bernadette Soubirous of Lourdes, where her body is resting in the chapel of Saint Gildard. Visit the ducal palace that, Gothic in appearance, already announces the coming Renaissance. Gothic too, Saint-Cyr & Sainte-Julitte Cathedral, Roma-nesque in its west choir but Gothic in the east choir its nave and flamboyant chapels. Dinner and overnight in Nevers. [B/D]

Day 11: Nevers, Paris

Depart to Paris after breakfast. After check-in at your hotel you have the rest of day for yourself. [B]

Day 12: Paris, USA

At the appointed time you’ll be transferred to Charles de Gaulle Airport to board your flight back home. [B]
