“Nuesta Señora de La Paz” is a city and municipality in Western Bolivia, capital of the department of La Paz, Bolivia's seat of Government and the legislatures and executives. The city was founded on October 20th, 1548 by the Spanish captain Alonso de Mendoza and the center of the city is located at an altitude of approximately 10,800 feet above the sea level.
Day 1: La Paz
Upon arrival at El Alto International Airport, private transfer to your selected hotel in La Paz.  Your private tour starts with pick up at your hotel. Visit the city center and the most important landmarks of the city. See “Plaza Murillo”, seat of (Bolivian) federal government. Here we will visit the immense Cathedral and Presidential Palace known as the Palacio Quemado (Burnt Palace). The nick name was given due to its near destruction in 1875 during an uprising against the then President of Bolivia. Our next stop will be at the famous Witches Market, where you will be intrigued by the fascinating products on sale. Here vendors sell a number of goods used in rituals to evocate the spirits of the Indigenous Aymara people. The last stop on the tour is Moon Valley, a place where the erosion has caused stony forms, giving the sensation to be in a real lunar environment. Return to your hotel. Overnight in La Paz. [L]

Day 2: La Paz, Copacabana, Sun Island
Depart by road from La Paz to the city of Copacabana located on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Arrival in Copacabana and visit the Sanctuary home of the Black Virgin. A hydrofoil will cross from Copacabana to The Moon Island. Upon arrival visit the Temple of the Virgins of the Sun, or Iñak Uyu. The Sun Island is the second stop, to visit the Pilcocaina temple and walk with llamas to the hotel.  Lunch and afternoon free to explore the surrounding area.  Dinner and overnight stay at Posada del Inca Eco-Lodge. Day 3: Sun Island, Copacabana, La Paz
Morning at leisure to enjoy the island at your pace. Visit the great Inca stairway to see sacred spring: its underground waters grant youth and eternal happiness. Lunch is served in Uma Kollu Archaeological Restaurant. Visit the small handicraft market, tour the Andean Roots Eco-Village, the Altiplano Museum, the artisan’s village, mud igloos and the funeral towers of the Urus Chipayas.  Finally, meet with the Limachi family, builders of the RA II and Tigris vessels used in expeditions to cross the Atlantic. By road back to your hotel in La Paz. Overnight in La Paz [B/L]
Day 4: La Paz- Uyuni
In the morning transfer to the airport to board your flight to Uyuni. Arrival and transfer to your hotel in Uyuni. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy the grounds of your hotel. Overnight in Uyuni [B/D]
Day 5: Uyuni
The first stop of the itinerary will be the Train Cemetery where we will be able to see the remains of very old wagons and trains from the early 19`s and the beginning of the 20th century.  Continuing the tour, you will visit Colchani, a salt-processing town, where hand-made objects are on sale; many of them made of salt. This is the perfect place to buy a souvenir. Then you will visit Salar de Uyuni. You will see natural breathing conductors named “Ojos de Sal”, which means Eyes of Salt. Here water from under the hard salt crust comes to the surface. An important part of this day, is trying to make the ultimate optical illusion picture. You will have lots of time to try out different positions and most of all have fun.  Picnic lunch on the salt flat. At midday, we will visit Incahuasi Island. This island in the middle of the salt flat, is covered with ancient cacti (that can be up to 59-foot tall) and a rare ecosystem that has survived centuries. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight [B/X/D]
Day 6: San Pedro de Quemes, Ojo de Perdiz Desert
Breakfast at the hotel.  We start the day driving towards the lagoons Cañapa, Hedionda, Honda, and Chiarkota. These lagoons are surrounded by snowy peaks. This are is visited by large colonies of flamingoes and other water birds like ducks and wallata geese. Next, we ride through Siloli’s desert, which is at 13500 feet high. This high-altitude desert of volcanic ash and gravel is scattered with rock outcrops that have been sandblasted into surreal shapes by the constant howling winds. We stop at the Stone Tree, which is an interesting stone formation shaped by erosion for thousands of years, a must-see in this fantastic landscape. Continue the trip to Ojo de Perdiz for dinner and overnight. [B/L/D]
Day 7: Ojo de Perdiz Desert, Uyuni, La Paz
Enjoy the last hours in this spectacular landscape, which never disappoints.  Drive south to visit the Green and Red Lagoons, the Sol de Mañana Geysers and the hot springs at Los Polques. In the cold and ruthless weather that accompanies the area, a warm bath is much needed. Lunch en route. Continue to the airport to board your flight to La Paz. Overnight in La Paz. [B/L]

Day 8: La Paz, USA
At agreed time transfer to the airport to board your flight home, or to your next destination [B]
