Grand Ole Opry to attend "The show that made country music famous" featuring a dynamic line-up of new stars, superstars, and legends of country music in each performance. We suggest you arrive early, so you have the time to visit the Willie Nelson & Friends Museum featuring memorabilia and personal items from Willie Nelson and more than 30 other country music pioneers including Waylon Jennings, Conway Twitty, Patsy Cline, Barbara Mandrell, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, Jeannie Seely, Porter Wagoner and many others. Make sure to take your camera because photos are allowed in the museum. After the show, return to Nashville for overnight.
Note: Grand Ole Opry doors open at 6:30pm. These shows sell-out very quickly. Make sure you give us lead time enough. Seats will be assigned and socially distanced in the order they are bought. You will receive your tickets and seat assignments via email approximately 48 hours prior to the show.
Day 2: Nashville, Hurricane Hills, Nashville (150 miles)
Drive 90 minutes to Loretta Lynn’s Ranch, a 3,500-acre complex that provides the setting of one of the most beloved female performers in country music, celebrating her life and career. Tour her Plantation Home and see the famed "Crisco Kitchen", walk through a simulated coal mine chute, her replica Butcher Holler home and Kentucky Homeplace, and admire her many achievements in the Coal Miner's Daughter Museum. Additional activities include touring the grist mill museum containing a variety of equipment used during the production of corn meal in the late 1800’s and a Native American artifact museum. In the evening spend some time in Broadway a famous center of entertainment and country gastronomy.
Day 3: Nashville (9 miles)
This morning is dedicated to RCA Studio B & Country Music Hall of Fame Museum. During a hands-on Hatch Show Print Tour, you’ll learn about the letterpress print shop’s 140-plus-year history and get a behind-the-scenes look at the show-poster creation process. Historic RCA Studio B transports guests back to moments that made history—you’ll stand right where Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, Waylon Jennings, and other greats recorded hits, and hear stories and songs born in this historically important studio. At 2:30 pm be ready at your hotel to be picked-up and embark on this exclusive, thorough tour of Nashville that takes you deep inside the celebrity experience including Taylor Swift, Kellie Pickler, Joe Don Rooney of Rascal Flatts & more. This tour takes you through everything from Downtown Nashville's celebrity-owned hot spots to the massive estates of the stars in Franklin and the surrounding areas. Stop at the Tennessee State Capitol just before 2:00 pm and take the last guided tour (or take the self-guided tour but you must finish by 4:40 pm). Then, relax or continue the city’s discovery. Love it or hate it, these days hot chicken is nearly synonymous with Nashville. And while it’s nearly impossible to hear about Music City without the mention of the now internationally famous dish, it’s with good reason. For this evening, we recommend a 5-minute drive to 400 Degrees Hot Chicken, which recipe calls for deep-fried rather than skillet-fried chicken, a chief distinction between 400 Degrees and most other restaurants.
Day 4: Nashville, Dollywood, Pigeon Forge (216 miles)
This morning, drive to Dollywood Park, created by Dolly Parton, to visit its 160 acres in the Great Smoky Mountains. Your included 1-day pass lets you access more than 50 world class rides, high-energy entertainment, award-winning dining and the friendliest park atmosphere in the world! At the end of the day take a short trip to Pigeon Forge for overnight.
Day 5: Pigeon Forge, Nashville (215 miles)
Back to Nashville to complete your visit of the Country Music Capital. For the evening, we recommend you have dinner at Johnny Cash’s Kitchen & Saloon. Johnny Cash is known around the world as one of the greatest entertainers of all time, and fans can now discover here a more personal side of the Man in Black. With a rustic decor created from rough-hewn timbers and stone, a floor to ceiling fireplace, and intricate stained-glass windows depicting significant glimpses into Johnny’s life it provides the welcoming atmosphere that was customary at Johnny & June’s own table. The traditional Southern Meat and Three restaurant is a tribute to many of Johnny’s favorite passions: cooking, serving and eating delicious Southern food, providing warm and friendly hospitality with a big dose of great music thrown in for good measure.
Day 6: Nashville Hometown (10 miles)
Depending on your flight schedule you may have some time for last souvenir shopping. When ready, drive to Nashville airport in time to return your car and board your flight back home.
