Frozen II - Summer

Summer is the most usual season to visit Iceland. The climate is the warmest and the days are the longest, leaving plenty of time to explore the country. The golden hours stretch over an infinite time, thus making the happiness of the photographers. The lush green of the countryside contrasts with the whiteness of the glaciers. The hottest day will be about 75° F, but it happens very rarely. You can still expect a few rainy days (it's Iceland after all), and occasionally the summer is disappointing because it brings more rain than sun.

Thunder & Ice

At the edge of the Arctic Circle, Iceland is a land of contrasts and excessiveness. Here, active or dormant volcanoes, glaciers, lava fields, hot springs and waterfalls draw with a scalpel a painting that tells the origins of our planet. Straddling the American and Eurasian tectonic plates, Iceland experiences intense volcanic activity. Its landscapes of fire and ice earned it the nickname "Gates of Hell". The Golden Circle is the name given to three of Iceland's most visited natural sites, Thingvellir, Gullfoss and Geysir.
