Day 1: Buenos Aires
Your guide will welcome at the airport and transfer to the selected hotel. Your Gastronomic trip to Buenos Aires starts with a special treat: Dinner at Closed Door Restaurant. Pick up at your hotel and head to the newest trend in this cosmopolitan city: Closed door restaurants. This is essentially a blend between a restaurants and a private dinner party. The intimate setting allows for more personal experiences where you get to know the chef and your fellow diners. Day 2: Buenos Aires
Your panoramic tour of Buenos Aires includes the most important landmarks of this European city also known as the Paris of South America. In the next 3 hours you will learn the history of Plaza de Mayo, site of the most important historical events held in Argentina. Admire its surroundings with several emblematic buildings, like the Pink House, sit of the Executive Power, and the Metropolitan Cathedral. Your next stop is in San Telmo. Walk along the cobble-stoned streets and discover the charming antique shops at the oldest residential neighborhood in the city. Next, revive the traditional Tango with live dancers in the neighborhood of La Boca, and stroll down the colorful Caminito Street. On the tour you will also see the mythical Boca Juniors soccer stadium, where Maradona once played, admire the modern-chic Puerto Madero area, pass through the traditional Retiro neighborhood, and move on to see Palermo before finally arriving at the glamorous Recoleta district with its fine boutiques, parks and cafes. Day 3: Buenos Aires
Today you will experience and taste authentic Porteño flavors. As you walk along the traditional neighborhoods of the city, you will discover some of the restaurants and bars that only the locals know and learn about Argentina’s culture and cuisine. Enjoy traditional parrilla food and excellent Argentine wines along with the history of the area. Your desert will be at one of the best artisanal “gellateria” (ice cream shops) in the city. [B/L]
Day 4: Buenos Aires, Mendoza
At agreed time, transfer to the domestic airport to board your flight to Mendoza. Arrival and transfer to the selected hotel. In the evening cooking class with Cristina Brino at Finca Adalgisa
After her studies in gastronomy at Escuela Islas Malvinas in Mendoza, a successful stay at 1884 Restaurant from the well-known chef Francis Mallmann, a working experience in Chile, Cristina Brino arrived at Finca Adalgisa with her cooking classes. With all her experience she lights up the open fire where she prepares meat, grilled vegetables and dessert.
By using typical ingredients Cristina cooks unique plates generating harmony between the regional products she uses. She works with fresh products only and some of them are cultivated and recently harvested at the Finca´s green garden you will learn to prepare typical regional food consisting of fresh product which you can obtain easily in any place of the world. The food you prepare during the cooking class, can be easily made at home in a conventional kitchen. [B/D]
Day 5: Mendoza
Full day winey tour including wine tasting & lunch. Located in Lujan de Cuyo and Maipú area, in this route through the vineyards you will have the opportunity to appreciate the efforts of man to transform the desert into a oasis through the irrigation ditches and channels (Huarpe inheritance) and modern drip irrigation systems, we visit wineries large and small of outstanding quality that we have positioned as a world capital of wine tasting and lunch at each one of the wineries with wine included. Day 6: Mendoza
The Uco Valley is compared by many to the Napa Valley 30 years ago. It is the new frontier of winemaking in Mendoza. At a higher elevation than Luján de Cuyo, excellent high-altitude wines are produced from vineyards up to 1400m (4600 feet) high, at the foot of the towering Andes Mountains.
Get an early start we head towards the Uco Valley, taking the scenic route via Tupungato. Your Uco Valley Wine Experience we include a total of 3 wineries, having interesting visits and special wine tastings at two wineries in the morning, before finishing with a late, relaxed gourmet wine pairing lunch at the third winery. Day 7: Mendoza, USA
At agreed time, transfer to the airport to board your flight to back home or to your next destination. [B]
