There are many kinds of animals such as squirrels, monkeys, and birds living there, so it is a paradise for the animals as well.

Day 1: Huangshan
Upon arrival at Huangshan Airport or Railway Station, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. Then stroll on Tunxi Old Street to discover the Four Treasures of the Study. This pedestrian street is lined with beautiful red cobblestones that cast beautiful reflections after it rains. The street boasts some of the best-preserved buildings in the Song, Ming, and Qing dynasty styles, and some shops along the street are hundreds of years old, including a medicine shop and a sauce and pickle shop. For dinner, taste the local Hui cuisine. As one of the eight major Chinese styles of cooking, Hui cuisine is renowned for fresh, natural ingredients, delicately cooked. [D]

Day 2: Huangshan
In the morning, transfer to the Yellow Mountain (1-1.5 hours’ drive). Upon arrival, hike up the Yellow Mountains (also known as Huangshan) where you will enjoy a picnic lunch. Huangshan lies in the southern part of Anhui Province, China. It covers about 296,525 acres. The mountain has 72 peaks, three of which are major peaks rising 5,900 feet above sea level. Huangshan was listed as a UNESCO world cultural and natural heritage site in 1990. Huangshan, or “Yellow Mountain” is famous for its four wonders, which are the strangely shaped pines, rocks, the sea of clouds and the hot springs. There are many kinds of animals such as squirrels, monkeys, and birds living there, so it is a paradise for the animals as well. Due to its extraordinarily picturesque character, Huangshan is a frequent subject of traditional Chinese paintings and literature, as well as modern photography. Students will try their hand at Chinese landscape painting under the direction of a local artist. Return to Huangshan followed by dinner on your own [B/L]

Day 3: Huangshan
After breakfast, drive to Huangshan Green Tea Plantation. At the plantation, learn how to pick tea leaves under the guidance of local tea farmers, learn more about the traditional tea craft and culture, and enjoy an authentic Chinese tea ceremony. Lunch at a local restaurant. Perched at the foot of Mt. Huangshan, Tangmo Village was rated as one of the top ten 'must see' famous scenic spots in Huangshan City. Originally constructed in the Tang Dynasty (618-907) according to the architectural styles of that time, Tangmo Village reached its height of prosperity in both the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. Upon your arrival there, you will be captivated by the quiet rural life style of this particular culture, and the natural beauty that is incorporated within this famous historic and cultural village. Continue to the West Garden, an exquisite private courtyard linked to a town house erected by one of Huizhou’s merchants. Return to Huangshan followed by dinner on your own. [B/L]

Day 4: Huangshan (Jingdezhen)
Jingdezhen is a bustling, regional city that is often considered China’s Porcelain Capital. For over 2000 years, its kilns have fired some of the world's most recognizable and highly sought-after ceramic creations. Visit Jingdezhen Ancient Kilns and Folk Custom Museum A bit like a living museum, the museum contains traditional porcelain-making equipment, including revived ancient kilns, and has teams of staff demonstrating how they were once used. This large, nicely landscaped site is fittingly located at No.1, Ancient Kiln Road, Porcelain Capital Avenue. Some of the buildings here date from Qing and Ming times, although have been largely rebuilt. Guests will have the opportunity to go to a local work shop and see a master make ceramics in the imperial style. Lunch at local Chinese restaurant In the afternoon, continue on to the Jingdezhen Ceramics Museum. The Jingdezhen Ceramics Museum is the first of its kind and located in the world-renowned porcelain capital. It is in close proximity to the beautiful Lotus Pond inside the city. The museum boasts nineteen thousand ceramic pieces, ranging from over 600 years old to ceramics produced by modern-day masters. The museum is a most important systematic and holistic showcase for glorious achievements in ceramics during the last two thousand years. Stroll on to the Letian Ceramics market. A favorite among locals and visitors alike, this market is filled with merchants peddling all kinds of ceramics, which makes for great souvenir shopping. In the late afternoon or evening transfer return to Huangshan for dinner on your own. [B/L]
